So you have something that you can write with reference to and you want to make a little additional cash in the process. How are you going to produce the ebook and then how are you going to advertise it?

Step 1 – Assign Your EBook A Unique Name

Try to contemplate a title for your ebook that has not been used before. Well, this may be very nearly impracticable, but try to think of a name that will be somewhat unique and stand out from the multitude. Grabbing awareness through a title is vital to the success of your work. If the book is known as ‘101 Marketing Tips’, it is not going to stand out from the crowd and people are not going to purchase it.

Step 2 – Keep The Title Short And Uncomplicated

If your title is long winded, shrink it. A name of 7 or 8 words is not going to be remembered. When people talk about it on Twitter the name will be too long for Tweets. If you can think up a title of no more than 5 words that is short and snappy people will recall it and be able to chat about it. You can then set up Twitter accounts and analogous services safe in the knowledge that people can Tweet about you.

Step 3 – Offer Something Contemporary For A Wide Audience

Who are your objective audience and what should a lot of them like to sort in their every day lives? Are they trying to promote a website or lose a bit of weight? Now that you have worked out what will appeal to them, you can write a way out for them.

Now, give the creation a new spin. Too many ebooks sell the same information to the same markets. Not only are these markets becoming board of being told the same information, but with so many people selling the same information, the audience is split between many would-be sellers. So to sell your ebook, tender something new to your audience.

Step 4 – Hit Upon Your Target Market And Stick To It

There is no point selling weight a loss ebook to regular marathon runners and no point selling promotional tips to successful affiliate marketeers. Work out what your target market is and target just them. You may be thinking that the more people you target the more sales you will make. But by being specific to a niche audience you are open to less competition and should sell more.

Step 5 – Convert The Ebook To PDF

If you write the book in Word or other prevalent format, then publishing as a Word document leaves the book very open to being copied and reworded. It is very easy to get the book converted to PDF format, which not only looks more professional, it also protects your work more.
